Q.     Is an e-gaming operator licenced in Malta permitted to employ foreign workers?

A.      An e-gaming operator licenced in Malta is free to select its own staff complement.  The employment of locals is actively encouraged but there exist no restriction on the employment of foreign personnel.

Such employment need to be subject to a Permit process by the Employment and Training Corporation and an application for such a permit normally takes about 4 weeks.  Foreign personnel are not allowed to take local employment prior to the issue of such a permit.
