Licencing Time Frame |

Q. How long does the issue of an E-Gaming Licence take?
A. The licencing process is split into two parts i.e.
1) Issue of Letter of Intent through which the applicant can start operations, and
2) The issue of the Full Licence
Step 1 normally takes only a few weeks with a maximum of 12 weeks from submission of full documentation. This itself is divided into two stages, i.e
Stage 1 - Due Dilegence review on the applicant company and its shareholders and directors, and
Stage 2 - Review of the game procedures and player protection
Step 2 commences after the applicant has been granted a letter of intent to start operations. This will involve the certification of the software to ensure that it complies with the requirements of the Lotteries and Gaming Authority. This process is carried out within 6 months of issue of Letter of Intent and is normally carried out by the Authority itself or sub contracted to specialists service providers. Once this process is successfully completed, the Full Licence is issued.
